El Camino College’s head football coach, Gifford Lindheim, has the Warriors off to a 4-1 start.  His team’s victory against Mt. San Jacinto College gave Lindheim the 55th win of his career as the head coach of the Warriors. That double nickel is worth third place on the all-time coaching wins list for El Camino’s football program. Lindheim is the eighth coach in the 78-year history of El Camino College’s football program, and he is currently in his 9th season. Last year, he led the Warriors to a National Northern League title, and earned coach of the year honors along the way. Last year also marked the first time since 2018 that the Warriors made a playoff appearance in the Southern California Football Association.
